A quiet boy slender and small,
a reader of books he kept to himself,
pitch black hair and eyes of a raven,
uncut finger nails and no one to save him,
Daily abuse he was locked in the cellar,
His dad long past dead,
His mom a fortune tellar,
She gave him books and punished him when he talked,
Every door he was put behind,
made the clinking sound as it locked,
His ribs shown through the undersized shirt he wore,
He went hungry often but dared not ask for more,
Years of seclusion gave him imaginary friends,
Multiple personalities some plotted without end,
"Kill the evil Bitch" , sounded in his head,
When another voice said "forgive your mom",
"Fuck that", I wish that she were dead,
In a corner far from the door He held his knees,
All windows painted black and nailed shut,
not even a breeze,
He remembered when his dad was once alive,
along time ago, a better time, when they use to pretend they could fly,
Father and son with hands in the air,
Racing around with laughter as much as one could bear,
The hugs and love his father gave to him,
"Why did he have to die", Im just a little kid,
His mom never loved him not even at birth,
She screamed bloody murder, "get this thing out of me it hurts",
Never wanting children she treated him like the plague,
Wanted all her husbands attention and needing center stage,
She would beat him for the fun of it and call him the ugly duck,
Often she kick him and say "get lost you little fuck",
So hear in the prison of darkness only a candle lights his way,
And time spent is in his dream world,
Dreaming of being with other kids outside to play,
For today was long and he wished it would vanish,
The smell of his own fecies fly covered and ravaged,
Deep in thought his place was his mind,
An opportunity to search out old memories,
Joyious once becomming harder to find............
He heard the creek of old boards outside of his door,
So he lay his head down,
on an unpillowed floor,
and listened for the lock of this once unlocked door.....
